Bosch DCN Conferencing Systems reinforce “The Power of AV”

Bosch’s Communications Systems Division was a proud sponsor of this year’s InfoComm AV Week, which celebrated “The Power of AV” at a wide range of events around the world from October 18-24, 2009.

The Bosch team worked with its CRN (Congress Rental Network) partner for the U.S., ASET International Services LLC, to provide a compliment of new Bosch DCN Wireless conferencing systems for an October 21st AV Week seminar for event planning professionals held at the Marriott at Metro Center in Washington, D.C.

While adding user-friendly features and practical finesse to the proceedings for the guests, the Bosch systems also demonstrated their unmatched cost efficiency from a business perspective.

“AV Week was the perfect venue for demonstrating our latest conferencing systems and the level of expertise offered by our colleagues at ASET,” explained Bosch Conferencing Product Manager Kees Geerts. “We were thrilled at the positive responses the DCN product received from across the broad range of industry professionals in attendance, along with the InfoComm team. The system for this seminar featured 50 Wireless Discussion Units configured for 'dual use', meaning two delegates shared one unit while each had his or her own button to activate or deactivate the microphone. As we had 50 units with dual use, we were able to handle up to 100 attendees – this deployment kept hardware on tables to a minimum, so things looked as good as they sounded.

“DCN proved that it delivers cost-efficiency with no compromises in features, flexibility, or performance,” Geerts adds. “The system also contained four wired Concentus units, used on the podium for the panel discussion and controlled via our Central Control Unit, which can handle a mix of wireless and wired units and can also, for example, supply an audio feed for streaming online. This complete system can be used perfectly without a system operator, but in this case the system was controlled by an operator from ASET using the DCN-SWSMV. The whole system worked seamlessly.”

"It was a pleasure using the Bosch DCN system at this event," added John Woodstock, Director of Association Sales, InfoComm International. "We really appreciated the hands-on support Bosch and ASET provided for AV Week and were very pleased with the results."
