Feb. 7, 2023 - Following its Covid-enforced May debut last year, 2023 saw the Fira Barcelona play host to a full-scale ISE in February for the first time – and what a week it was.

The success stories began early on the first day as we attended the AV News Awards. Typically staged in the morning before the 10am doors open, the sit-down breakfast event resulted with our very own Kevin Kandula winning AV Service Professional of the Year – testament to Kevin and Datapath's support team who strive to offer the most comprehensive technical support in the business.

The win set the tone for the rest of the day – and indeed, the rest of the week – as our booth enjoyed the busiest of starts, with staff providing Aetria solution demos as well as insight into our latest VSN processors, AVoIP appliances and capture cards.

Across the Fira's huge Hall Three, our Strategic Business Development Manager, Greg Babbs provided regular Datapath demos on the impressive LG stand. With a dedicated Control Room area, LG selected Datapath to power their Control Room suite with a full Aetria solution, which brought welcome enquiries from a wide spectrum of LG booth visitors including military and blue light services.

The evening saw Datapath proudly sponsoring the coveted Inavation Awards, with 500 of the AV industry's finest gathered inside the spectacular setting of Barcelona's Musée National d'Art Moderne. As usual, the Inavate Magazine event provided a feast for the senses, with live music, great food and a fantastic evening of networking. Congratulations to all winners and finalists!

The second day of the show was, incredibly, even busier than the first, with a constant flow of booth visitors as ¼ mile queues formed outside the Fira Exhibition Center. Our two demo facilities were constantly showcasing Aetria's operator benefits and, even with our increased seating for this year, there was not a spare chair throughout the day as customers and connections talked business and opportunities with our team.

Such was the popularity of ISE and our Hall 3 booth this year, we had surpassed 2022's weekly booth attendance by the afternoon of the second day.

Along with personalized demos, booth visitors were also keen to learn about our latest generation of VSN processors. Our flagship controllers were seen for the very first time, with improved airflow, dual power supplies, failsafe switchover and the very latest 12th generation (Alder Lake) Intel Core i9 processors. Full scale production begins soon with expected availability in Q3.

Following another busy couple of days, Datapath had all but doubled last year's booth visitor numbers, and with more media attention and press visits than ever, the week was a resounding success by any gauge.
